Colors

I took this picture today having the black and white thing in mind. I love it! My idea is to get one of me maybe wearing a colorful necklace, these socks and holding that flower while sitting on a coral. I think it'll turn out great and I'll post it here so all of you can see it!

I Love the Weather!

It's officially summer in my mind! I'm sunburnt and it's been 30+ degrees out lately! As long as we don't get any ridiculous snowstorms! I am also working at two camps this year!! SO excited! Summer is gonna be a good one this year! I just know it! I feel it in the heat radiating from my sunburn....

Small Talk

Last night me, my brother and my mom went for a bike ride. I took my camera along as usual. I snapped some pics. My brother thought I was obsessed. I snapped some more pics. You know, the same old, same old. It was a weird night. The weather was warm but chilly. (Is that even possible? O well.) Not windy though, which is good. Oh gosh, am I actually talking about the weather?! That's suppposed to be saved for small talk! Huh. O well, that's how I roll!

Band Trip to BC!

Our band class went on a band trip to Invermere, British Columbia! It was absolutely breathtaking! I swear I have over 20 mountain pictures on my camera. When you live in the prairies and you find a hill exciting you can expect a large amount of pictures! I also saw mountain goats for the first time. Well I have seen them in the zoo but not in the wild. There was this really creepy note written in the bathroom in our hotel room. I can't tell you what it says due to the fact it was in Chinese. Me and my friends called it the Chinese Curse! lol Good times! We traveled in the Cypress Cyclones bus. (The Cypress Cyclones are my town's hockey team.) This bus has a record of breaking down, and well we were no exception. It broke down right before we were about to leave BC. We were delayed 30 minutes but that was ok because I got some more pictures of the mountains!

Is it Spring or Is It Winter?

I couldn't resist taking this. It was +26 degrees celcius today and yet there is snow on the ground. Isn't that just depressing? O well! I loved the weather today and wore my first capris of the season and wobbled along with the first bike ride of the season!

Cute

Isn't this just cute! These two actually get along quite well considering the cat and dog thing. It's hilarious because Elmer would brush his tail under Hobo's nose all the time and then he'd sneeze. Hobo is more forced to like this cat than anything because he knows what's good for him. If he ever did anything to Elmer well....... (He's the only cat we've ever gotten fixed or has been allowed to stay indoors....) Anyway, this is still cute!

Football

Me and my brother decided to play football one day. Oh boy. I am absolutely horrible at it! When I threw the ball it went over Tyler, to the right, to the left. Anywhere but in his hands! It was still a good time though!

Baking Cookies!

I love taking pictures of cooking and I have no idea why! O well!

It took me about two hours to put all the ingriendients in a bowl and stir it. That's how I cook, slow and steady. In the end, the cookies turned out a little more crispy than I wanted but I blame it all on the timer. I tried for 10 mins or 9 mins or 8 mins but it all turned out crispy. Oh well. Anything below that was way too doughy. But then again I was eating the cookie dough so....

I don't think the snow will ever stop. We just had a gallon of snow dumped on our little farm last night. I wish it was no- jacket weather. I'm way too tired of bundling up just to walk across the yard. I have these pictures to remind me of the gorgeous weather, of which I have almost completely forgotten. (notice the capitalized SUMMER!)

One night I was eating supper and I saw the sky and dashed away to get my camera and got some decent shots. I guess this is why Saskatchewan is called "The Land of the Living Skies."

My Awesome New Guitar!

For my birthday (which is in 9 days) I got a guitar!!! I've been wanting to learn how to play for so long but haven't had the chance. It is an "oriental blue" Yamaha electric acoustic guitar! It is so fun. I am proud of myself. I can play a Spanish song. (even if its in slow motion!) I can almost play Rockin' Robin. When I get better I plan on taking it to camp and playing the guitar there. I have also learned how to play Yankee Doodle. (what a good song...lol)

Baking Shortbread

My mom has finally gotten down to the baking part of christmas! It took awhile! My mom thought I was crazy for taking these pictures but I think they turned out pretty good. When we were making the shortbread we were using this psyco mixer!! If you turned it up a little shortbread would fly everywhere!! It was so crazy! After scrubbing dried on shortbread off the walls we figured out that the mixer actually can be controlled. Eventually we finished!

Christmas Decorations are finally up!!

We got our decos up yesterday almost a week from Christmas! ( I know it's pretty sad...) But thet're up! That's a good thing! Ok so my mom was putting up the lights and that job seriously takes FOREVER!! When she was done she plugged them in to see how they looked.....and....well....the top half of the tree wasn't working. So mom thought she had to take them all down and do it over again....I went over there and shook the tree up a bit. The lights came back on! Well I knew this because I was untangling all the lights and everytime I lifted up the pile the lights would go on and every time I put the pile down they went off. (That is so not normal....)
